Job summary

Amentum's Defence and Security teams provide design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK. We are growing and seek Systems Engineers (Engineer/Consultant grades) to join our UK team; main location is flexible with the majority of work carried out from home, with site visits potentially required.

You will work on MoD, Nuclear New Build, emerging nuclear technologies, and Nuclear Decommissioning programs, developing your career under guidance from our systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM is required.
• Experience in complex, safety-focused, regulated environments.
• UK MoD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Steer SE principles and processes through approvals.
• Provide SME guidance on SE processes to stakeholders.
• Capture, validate and manage requirements and V&V strategy.
• Ensure consistency in user, system, design and safety requirements.
• Advise on interfaces and manage system interfaces.
• Plan and update SE artefacts (ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs).
• Develop system interface documents and test plans.
• Prepare presentations and represent SE in meetings.
