Job summary

Vivo Defence is seeking a Multi-Skilled Operative to join the Direct Delivery team. The role is site-based across Chicksands, Carver Barracks, Bassingbourn, and RAF Henlow within a 20-mile radius, with a work van and fuel card provided.

You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance and small works, including minor plumbing and decorating. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and capable of working independently or in a small three-person team, with regular site interaction and

Qualifications

• Experience in handyperson or semi-skilled role
• Ability to work independently following written/verbal instructions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer/stakeholder interaction
• Proactive, reliable, and able to deliver high-quality work across Defence sites

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and small works at Defence sites
• Carry out repairs across building services including minor plumbing and general building tasks
• Conduct fire alarm testing and health/safety related tasks
• Record work using PDA or paper systems and manage materials
• Work in a 1-site-per-day rota within a 20-mile radius and travel with provided van/fuel card
