Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions in Bristol is seeking a Simulation and Modelling Engineer to join a defence-focused team. You will integrate system models and contribute to the development of next-generation guided weapons, using MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.

You will collaborate with performance engineers, training teams and in-service support units, ensuring robust model integration and validation within a challenging security-cleared environment.

Qualifications

• A good understanding of simulation environments (e.g. MATLAB and Simulink, or similar) and programming languages (e.g. FORTRAN, C/C++).
• Understanding of change and configuration control processes (e.g. Rational Team Concert) is an advantage.
• Ability to identify and solve sophisticated problems and gather the information needed to drive through to ultimate solutions.
• Practical knowledge of basic systems engineering principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Work on multiple high-profile projects, gaining a comprehensive understanding of advanced defence platforms.
• Develop and integrate system-level models using tools such as Simulink.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering development and validation.
• Contribute to the creation of synthetic environments for training and simulation purposes.
