Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a MATLAB/Simulink Control Systems Modeller to join its engineering team at Dorset Innovation Park. You will develop dynamic models, design advanced control algorithms and validate systems for naval, maritime and defence projects in the UK and international programmes.

You'll work with multidisciplinary engineers, apply Model-Based Design techniques, perform simulations and assist with HIL/SIL testing, documentation and system integration as part of a rigorous

Qualifications

• Degree in Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong commercial experience using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience in control systems modelling, simulation and validation.
• Knowledge of control systems theory and dynamic system modelling.
• Experience applying Model-Based Design methodologies.
• Understanding of system verification and validation techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic system models using MATLAB and Simulink.

• Perform system modelling, simulation, analysis and performance evaluation.

• Produce technical documentation to support design reviews, verification and validation activities.
• Participate in system integration, laboratory testing and sea trials where required.

About the Role

Morson Edge is supporting a leading defence technology organisation in the recruitment of a MATLAB/Simulink Control Systems Modeller to join its growing engineering team at Dorset Innovation Park.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience

Desirable Experience

• Experience within defence, aerospace, maritime, automotive or other highly regulated engineering sectors.


• Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle.


• Experience developing control systems for complex electromechanical or autonomous systems.
