Job summary

Morson Edge is supporting a leading defence technology organisation in Dorset to recruit a MATLAB/Simulink Control Systems Modeller. The role focuses on modelling, simulation, design and validation of advanced control algorithms for naval and underwater platforms.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams using Model-Based Design and MATLAB/Simulink to deliver innovative defence and maritime solutions for UK MOD and international customers.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong commercial experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• Experience modelling and validating control systems.
• Experience with Model-Based Design methodologies.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain dynamic system models using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Design and validate advanced control algorithms.
• Apply Model-Based Design across the lifecycle.
• Perform system modelling, simulation and performance evaluation.
• Support HIL and SIL integration and testing.
• Collaborate with software, systems and electronics engineers.
• Produce documentation for design reviews and validation.
• Participate in system integration and sea trials when required.
