Job summary

WSP is seeking Delivery Leads (Project Managers/Directors and Assistant Project Managers) to manage high-value projects in Defence and Security. You will report to the Senior Delivery Lead and deliver according to the project plan, with Assistant PMs supporting larger projects or leading smaller ones.

The role demands strong client relationships, budget and schedule control, risk and change management, and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the Defence and Security sector in a project/programme management capacity delivering construction or infrastructure projects, with security protocol knowledge.
• Knowledge of MOD policy, processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of JSPs, in particular JSP 850.
• Familiarity with The Green Book and 5 case model for business cases.
• Existing network within the Defence and Security sector.
• Degree in relevant technical discipline (engineering, building, quantity surveying, science, project or construction management).
• Recognised project or programme management qualification (PMI, APM, RICS, CIOB).
• NEC3/4 PM qualification.
• Eligibility to achieve Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Chair meetings, write reports, organise resources, and monitor project finances.
• Oversee scope, resources, budget, schedules, and change control.
• Lead on projects with Defence and Security sector security requirements.
• Support work-winning activities and act as an ambassador for the sector.
• Travel between home, WSP and client offices to deliver project needs.
