Job summary

QinetiQ is seeking an Employee Communications Manager in Farnborough to shape and deliver impactful communications for the UK Defence Sector. You’ll lead the UKD employee communications strategy and coordinate with the Marketing & Communications team to align content with our brand and goals.

You will manage channels, craft engaging copy for blogs, intranet and social, and plan events both virtual and in-person.

Qualifications

• Depth of experience in communications, particularly within employee communications.
• Experience delivering multi-stakeholder campaigns and activities.
• Experience editing intranet/web content and analysing web analytics.
• Experience delivering events both virtually and in-person.
• Strong commercial focus and ability to work with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Employee Communications strategy for the UKD Sector aligned to broader group plans.
• Act as a trusted adviser to senior UK Defence leadership on communications best practices.
• Manage sector channels, messaging and content for key information and announcements.
• Draft and edit engaging communications for blogs, social, intranet, and website.
• Deliver day-to-day campaigns and plan virtual and in-person events.
• Ensure content aligns with the QinetiQ narrative and brand.
• Measure impact of communications activities and inform future plans.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to promote employer value and brand.
