Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, seeks an experienced Project Manager for a defence-sector programme in Lakenheath. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams across civil, building and M&E works, ensuring safe, on-time and on-budget delivery with strong stakeholder engagement.

The role requires leadership, planning, risk management and NEC contract experience, with eligibility for security clearance. Competitive rewards and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contractor environment.
• Experience delivering civils, building and M&E works.
• Strong planning, programme management, commercial awareness and risk management.
• Experience on defence, secure government, infrastructure or regulated projects advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build high-performing teams and collaborative relationships.
• Strong contractual and commercial understanding, including NEC contracts.
• Track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Degree or equivalent in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance for defence-sector projects.
