Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead cross-discipline teams on high value defence/infrastructure projects in the UK. You will define scope, establish baselines, and manage changes across cost, schedule and risk while collaborating with suppliers and finance to ensure integrated performance data.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in a technical/management field or equivalent, with senior Project Controls experience and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Have proven track record delivering projects in highly regulated sectors such as defence or infrastructure.
• Experience across whole project lifecycle in Project Controls.
• Experience applying two or more Project Controls disciplines and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-discipline Project Controls teams on high risk, high complexity, and high value projects or programmes.
• Define scope through exclusions, assumptions, interfaces and dependencies, and decompose to enable a Work Breakdown Structure.
• Establish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline and manage the change control process.
• Collaborate with suppliers to integrate and analyse performance data in line with contractual requirements.
• Ensure scope, cost, risk and schedule integration and alignment.
• Analyse performance data, including Earned Value Management, to inform delivery decisions.
• Liaise with Finance to generate Cost and Cash Estimate to Complete and Estimate At Complete profiles.
• Ensure effective risk management through quantitative risk analysis.
• Support Project Managers in deploying resources per resource-loaded schedules.
• Establish governance processes for auditable decision making.
• Assure quality, accuracy and integrity of the team’s output.
• Build strong relationships to enable delivery recovery planning.
• Communicate and contextualise delivery performance to influence stakeholders.
• Promote learning from experience and drive process improvements.
• Working on site 2-3 days a week with potential UK travel.
