Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead cross-discipline teams on high-risk defence projects in the UK. You will define scope, establish baselines, and drive performance data analysis to support delivery decisions.

The role requires experience across project controls disciplines, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex, regulated programmes with UK MoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering projects in highly regulated sectors such as defence or infrastructure.
• Project controls experience across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with two or more project controls disciplines (planning/scheduling, cost estimation, cost control, risk management or performance reporting).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to influence, manage, and develop teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-discipline project controls teams on high-risk, high-value projects.
• Define scope using exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies and establish Work Breakdown Structure.
• Maintain robust Performance Measurement Baseline and manage change control processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to analyse performance data per contractual requirements.
• Ensure integration of scope, cost, risk and schedule; manage governance and auditable decisions.
