Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking experienced project managers for high-profile Defence sector programs based in London. You will deliver complex, large-scale projects, collaborating with clients and colleagues across the South East of England while balancing remote, office, and site work.

The role requires experience in project management within Defence, UK MoD security clearance eligibility, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with diverse teams. Hybrid working arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Leading and managing project teams to deliver outcomes.
• APM framework competencies: risk, schedule, governance & assurance.
• Overseeing budgets, forecasting and delivering within financial parameters.
• Experience in Defence Sector; MoD involvement preferred.
• Developing business cases per government standards with costs and benefits.
• Building trusted advisor relationships with clients for long-term success.
• Coordinating contractors, consultants, and advisors across multiple projects.
• Adaptability to different project types: construction, manufacturing, capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project teams to deliver outcomes across Defence programs.
• Apply AP M framework for risk, schedule, governance and assurance.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, and delivery within financial limits.
• Engage with MoD and Defence clients; leverage industry ties.
• Develop clear government-aligned business cases with costs and benefits.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients for repeat engagement.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and advisors across projects.
• Adapt to diverse project types and changing client needs.
