Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a seasoned Project Controls Manager to lead programme controls for defence-related construction projects. You will oversee cost, scheduling, risk and reporting, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, communication skills and a track record in regulated environments, with hybrid working and client-facing responsibilities across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in technical/management field.
• Membership of a relevant professional body (APM/ PMI).
• Ability to make risk-based decisions with uncertain parameters.
• Adapt leadership style to audience and uncertainty.
• Competent with essential project management software.
• Desire to work across sectors and with varied clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project controls across major construction projects.
• Lead the programme controls function for a programme with cost, schedule, safety, and performance reporting.
• Review new proposals and ensure realistic, resourced delivery plans.
• Identify staffing needs and liaise with planning to resolve resource issues.
• Provide day-to-day reporting support to Programme/Project Managers.
• Ensure data input meets required standards in cost and performance systems.
• Produce the Investment Plan in line with the Investment Competence Framework.
