Job summary

Kainos is seeking a proactive Product Consultant to lead backlog maturity from inception to delivery, driving MVP thinking and communicating value across the team and stakeholders.

You will facilitate agile ceremonies, run workshops, manage stakeholder alignment, and mentor junior staff, while ensuring delivery within client engagements in the defence-focused environment with active DV clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in bespoke software delivery as part of an agile team for external customers (client-facing role in a consulting environment).
• Defence sector experience is preferred.
• Active DV clearance is required.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle from analysis to live operations.
• Excellent facilitator of workshops and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Own the team backlog from inception to delivery, ensuring quality and maturity.
• Drive MVP thinking and communicate value to team, project, and stakeholders.
• Lead agile ceremonies and run workshops with diverse stakeholders to achieve consensus.
• Coach and develop junior staff and manage performance within the delivery team.
• Collaborate with sales and delivery partners to ensure client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
