Amey is offering an Operations Project Graduate role within the Ministry of Defence account, within the Pre-Construction Project Management team. Hybrid work is available with commutable distance to Northwest offices; salary is £28,500 per annum and 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 Degree in Construction Discipline or Project Management.
• A driving licence is essential.
• Available to join the programme in September 2027.
• CTC/DBS clearance will be required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Supporting development and production of scopes of work, technical specifications and project documentation for estate improvement and refurbishment projects across MOD Service Family Accommodation.
• Assisting Pre-Construction Project Managers and Building Surveyors with surveys, technical assessments, project scoping, design coordination and pre-construction activities.
• Developing knowledge across the full pre-construction process, including CDM Regulations, Building Regulations compliance and RIBA Stages 1–4, with mentoring and support.
• Supporting identification and management of project risks, technical constraints, compliance requirements and design issues during pre-construction.
• Coordinating consultants, designers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure requirements are defined and developed.
• Attending meetings and assisting with meeting records, actions and project progress reports.
• Assisting with preparation and review of project programmes, cost information, tender documentation and contractor submissions.
• Managing projects through survey, design, approvals, tender and handover into delivery.
• Undertaking site visits and property inspections to support deliverable solutions.
• Understanding construction methods, building pathology, refurbishment and health & safety for residential property.
• Maintaining accurate project records and communication throughout the lifecycle.
• Working towards increasing ownership of projects and work packages.
• Participating in a structured graduate development programme with qualification progression.
