Amey Defence Equipment is offering a 2-year Graduate Pathway in commercial and procurement, based at MITER Service Centre in Abingdon with hybrid working and a guaranteed permanent position on completion. Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree with evidence of commercial awareness and understanding of contracts and procurement.
• Available to join in September 2027.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential due to occasional client-site visits.
• BPSS clearance will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Commercial Managers to help them perform duties quickly and accurately.
• Prepare subcontracts and orders and submit for processing (including equipment purchases).
• Support supplier review and onboarding processes.
• Prepare IFS and Crystal Reports.
• Assist in data collection and utilisation exercises for effective decision-making and goal setting.
• Communicate with clients to maintain good relationships.
• Assist in delivering commercial best practices with risk, change, cost and value management.
• Identify variations to the works in collaboration with Commercial team members and Project Managers.
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans for time, resource and process management.
• Support and provide commercial input to M&A and MOD bidding activities.
• Support commercial mobilisation of new contracts.
• Liaise with legal function as required.
• Support and development of NDAs and teaming agreements.
• Input to annual insurance renewals and data provision.

Education

2:2 Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Business, Law, Construction Management, or related discipline

Full UK Driving Licence

BPSS clearance
