Job summary

Amentum is seeking experienced Project Managers to deliver complex projects for the UK defence sector. The role requires coordinating stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high-quality standards.

Based mainly in Bristol with on-site requirement and potential hybrid/remote elements. You’ll lead project teams, support business cases, and champion continuous improvement while maintaining compliance and safety across programs.

Qualifications

• Significant track record of delivering projects in time, cost and quality constraints.
• Ability to operate autonomously, with authority, and to develop and maintain key relationships.
• Consultancy focus with ability to scope wider client opportunities and requirements.
• Expertise in P3M practices and their application across varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Understand and deliver in accordance with organisational policies, processes, and procedures.
• Support development and assurance of business cases as part of wider approval processes.
• Analyse and manage timely and cost-effective delivery of client projects to meet objectives.
• Influence and expedite client delivery through planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Identify assumptions/dependencies and manage risks; implement remedies.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and governance compliance across all delivery activities.
• Coordinate services through engineering, project controls, commercial and financial support.
• Maintain accurate project records and capture learning for continuous improvement.
