Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative in Helensburgh, Scotland, to join HMNB Clyde. You will support Fleet Engineering with preventive maintenance, repairs and operational tasks on submarines, vessels and estate assets.

The role offers 37 hours per week on-site with set hours (Mon-Thu). Applicants must be able to obtain Security Check clearance; a comprehensive benefits package is provided by Babcock.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering/maintenance/industrial environments.
• Strong health and safety awareness and safe working practices.
• Ability to follow procedures and established processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Identify and rectify equipment defects and engineering issues.
• Handle, control, issue and return work equipment as required.
• Work safely under health and safety legislation and approved procedures.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes, efficiency and performance.
