Job summary

VIVO Defence Services, a joint venture between Serco and EQUANS, seeks a Multi-Skilled Operative to support UK Defence sites with maintenance, compliance and facilities tasks.

Reporting to the Built Estate Manager, you will carry out general upkeep, fire safety checks, de-leading assistance, and liaise with military personnel and DIO representatives. A full UK driving licence and SC clearance are required, with scope for flexible hybrid working where available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in handyman, maintenance or semi-skilled trades.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and safety-related tasks at defence sites.
• Assist with compliance duties and site operations.
• Record completed work and update schedules accurately.
• Liaise with military personnel and DIO representatives; support apprentices.
• Undertake tasks such as weekly flushing, fire alarm testing, and de-leading activities where needed.
