Serco Group plc in Swindon is seeking a Project Manager for the Estates Department to deliver mechanical and electrical projects safely, on time, and with clear governance. You will translate customer requirements into statements of need and drive programmes through feasibility to post-occupancy.

You will manage PPM, reactive subcontractors, variations, maintain CAFM Explorer data, and lead project meetings while ensuring compliance with MOD processes and CDM 2015.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Building Engineering Services projects; contractor-side understanding preferred.
• Management-level qualification in health, safety and environment (SMSTS or IOSH) would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills; strong IT capability with Excel, Word, CAFM, Teams and SharePoint.
• Proven ability supervising project teams, managing KPIs, costs, planning, stakeholder engagement and performance management.
• Experience leading complex FM estates projects, including space utilisation and knowledge of standards (BS, SFG20, BSRIA).
• Experience managing Safe Systems of Work, site activities, scope setting, and problem-solving in fast-moving environments.

Responsabilités

• Understand requirements and translate them into statements of need.
• Manage PPM and reactive subcontractor activities, variations, and asset replacement projects.
• Update CAFM Explorer data and ensure tasks and documentation are accurate.
• Maintain project information across variations, cost tracking, programme updates, and documentation systems.
• Deliver projects from feasibility through post-occupancy following RIBA Plan of Work and Serco governance.
• Ensure compliance with MOD processes, building standards, and CDM 2015.
• Follow procurement processes, appoint contractors, and manage cost control.
• Lead project meetings and drive value-for-money outcomes.
