Job summary

Capita, as part of the OMNIA Training consortium, seeks a Collective Training Needs Analyst to shape how the British Army prepares for future operations. Hybrid role with 2–3 days per week in Warminster, 37.5 hours.

You will analyse training requirements, develop dashboards, and translate data into actionable insights for senior decision-makers. Security clearance (BPSS) is required; salary up to £60,000.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business analysis and developing practical solutions to meet complex requirements.
• Knowledge of the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) or similar training design frameworks.
• Experience applying JSP 822, ADDIE, or equivalent training methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to turn complex information into actionable outputs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and training management systems such as DTMS or JTIMS.
• Excellent communication skills, able to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Confident presenting training requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse training, safety and operational data to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Collect, validate and maintain data from multiple sources for reliable reporting.
• Develop dashboards, reports and visualisations to support senior decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and standardisation.
• Translate business needs into meaningful analytical outputs with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on analytics tools, reporting best practices and data-driven decisions.
• Mentor colleagues and promote high standards of analytical quality.
• Present findings clearly through reports and briefings while ensuring data security.
