Job summary

VIVO Defence Services is recruiting a Building Services Manager to lead mechanical engineering operations across a prestigious defence estate. You will oversee maintenance, inspections and testing, ensuring compliance with PSSR, Gas Safe, F-Gas and related standards while managing engineers and contractors.

You will drive safety, governance and technical leadership, potentially acting as PETS/Mechanical Authorised Person, with hybrid working and a company vehicle for business use.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Supervisor or similar leadership role within Defence or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of PSSR, Gas Safe, F-Gas and OFTEC requirements.
• Familiarity with JSP 375 Volume 3 and SFG20 maintenance standards.
• Full UK driving licence, right to work in the UK, travel within Europe, and ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering services across the estate.
• Oversee maintenance, inspection and testing activities to high standards.
• Act as Mechanical and PETS Authorised Person if appointed; coordinate with Engineers and contractors.
• Ensure governance, compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
