Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a patient, resilient and dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant (L2/L3) to support pupils at a welcoming primary school in Southport, starting on 2nd November 2026. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young children with additional needs within a busy EYFS environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support children with a range of complex learning and developmental needs, including

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in EYFS or similar.
• Ability to follow individual support plans and work with the SEN team.
• Patience, resilience and nurturing approach with early years learners.
• Experience in a UK primary school or nursery setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of learning and developmental needs.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to implement plans.
• Assist children with communication, emotional regulation and social skills.
• Help pupils access learning and develop independence in a busy EYFS environment.
