Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an L2 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Southport, starting October 2026.

This full-time position runs until December with potential extension for the right candidate, supporting pupils across the primary age range and working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and targeted support in small groups. The successful candidate will have UK primary school experience, be confident across EYFS to KS2, and hold or be

Qualifications

Recent experience working with children in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
Be confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, both in the classroom and through small group interventions.
Experience supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
Be patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children develop both academically and socially.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers, parents, and other professionals.
Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

Support pupils across the primary age range in the classroom and through small group interventions.
Work closely with the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
