Job summary

Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a primary pupil with ASD in Camden. The role focuses on non-verbal communication and managing challenging behaviour to help the pupil access learning and participate in school life.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working with children with ASD and complex needs, and is patient, proactive and confident in a fast-paced school environment. DBS checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD and challenging behaviour.
• Able to provide consistent 1:1 support in a primary setting.
• Patient, proactive and confident in engaging with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD.
• Work closely with the class team to enable access to learning.
• Support across daily school life and activities.
