Job summary

Justteachers Ltd is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism (ASD) in a primary school. This full-time role starts in September and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.

You will provide 1:1 support, assist with tailored learning activities and routines, and help develop communication, social, and emotional skills while collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND, particularly ASD.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism.
• Assist with tailored learning activities and routines.
• Support communication, social, and emotional development.
• Help manage behaviour and ensure a positive learning experience.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
