Cygnet Bury Dunes is seeking confident deaf support workers to care for adults on high-priority wards. You will work 37.5 hours weekly, with 12-hour shifts across days, nights and weekends.

  • Native British Sign Language usage or Signature Level 2 is required for this deaf service.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork with a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to support service users with learning disability, autism and mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Offer enhanced, flexible learning-based care for service users, patients and residents.
  • Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
  • Learn individuals’ needs and respond in the most appropriate way.
  • Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
  • Safeguard service users and maintain a safe, clean environment.
  • Engage in safe, respectful interaction and daily activities on wards.
