Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a Health Support Worker to join our Deaf Services team in Doncaster. You will provide daily care and support to young adults aged 16+ who are profoundly deaf or have significant hearing loss, within a residential setting, with a focus on communication and wellbeing.

This full-time role operates on a rota basis, including weekends and holidays, with training and supervision provided, and a requirement to learn or demonstrate BSL.

Qualifications

• Understand or willingness to learn BSL (British Sign Language).

Responsibilities

• No two days will be the same.
• Provide support and care to residents, including travel with residents (company car), care planning, meal planning, organising and facilitating social activities and maintaining the home.
• Comfortable liaising with parents and professionals.
• Use an electronic care recording system daily (experience with Clearcare advantageous; full training provided).
