Job summary

Cygnet Blackburn is seeking confident Care & Support Workers to empower deaf service users with mental health needs in Vincent Court. The role requires BSL/Sign language and a passion for recovery-focused care in a community setting.

We offer 42 hours per week across 3/4 shifts, a structured apprenticeship path, DBS and ongoing coaching, and benefits including pension and cycle-to-work. You may be d/Deaf yourself and training for Level 2 BSL is available.

Qualifications

• Native BSL usage or minimum Signature Level 2
• Experience working with Deaf people preferred
• Willing to gain BSL accreditation through us
• Strong worker and team player

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical & welfare needs
• Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment
