Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 3 Community Support Recovery Worker in Deaf Services at The Barberry, Birmingham. The post is 37.5 hours per week, fixed term for 6 months, with a salary of £25,760 to £27,476 per year (pro rata).

The role supports Deaf patients in inpatient and community settings, focusing on recovery, independence, and social inclusion, across a large catchment area. DBS checks and pre-employment requirements apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 3 in Health Care with care experience in NHS/private care setting.
• BSL native/fluent or BSL Level 2 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual support to Deaf service users in inpatient and community settings to promote mental health recovery.
• Support transition to discharge from inpatient ward and facilitate joint working.
• Promote independent living and social/leisure activities within the community for service users.
