Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Bury Dunes is seeking confident d/Deaf Support Workers to help deliver outstanding care across our adult wards. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with 12-hour shifts including days, nights and weekends, and requires native British Sign Language or Signature Level 2 to support deaf service users.

Qualifications

• Native British Sign Language usage or Signature Level 2 is required.
• Full-time commitment (37.5 hours/week) with 12-hour shifts across days, nights & weekends.
• DBS check required before start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all service users.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report as required.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe environment for all.
• Support service users to maintain independence and wellbeing.
