Job summary

Wilson James in Uxbridge is seeking a Security Officer for days-only shifts on a permanent basis. You will provide a highly visible security presence, assist visitors and staff, manage access control, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe environment.

A neat appearance and excellent customer service are essential. Ideal candidates will deliver reports clearly, work well under pressure, and contribute to a proactive security culture.

Qualifications

• Deliver excellent customer service
• Think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
• Produce succinct and clear verbal and written reports
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public
• SIA DS licence

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence on and around the site with emphasis on access and egress controls.
• Operate internal/external security patrols and be familiar with site layout, building and processes.
• Meet and greet visitors and staff, advise and direct during sign in/out.
• Be conversant with emergency evacuation/controlled movement procedures.
• Protect premises, property and personnel from theft, damage and violence; investigate unusual conditions.
• Play an integral role in emergencies including evacuation and first aid incidents.
