Job summary

Millview Care Home in Pentre is recruiting a Kitchen / Catering Assistant on a part-time basis, offering £12.71 per hour. The role provides daytime hours (16.5 hours/week) with no late finishes and every other weekend off in a supportive team setting.

You will help with meal preparation, comply with food hygiene standards and support residents’ dietary needs in a caring home environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe handling practices.
• Reliable and organised approach to work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support others.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and catering team with meal preparation.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Assist with residents' dietary requirements and nutritional needs.
• Ensure food hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent catering service.
