Job summary

CYGNET is hiring a Day Shift Support Worker for Thistle House, a care home with nursing for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will provide physical and emotional support, learn each resident’s needs, and help with medical welfare tasks in a safe environment.

The role offers 12-hour day shifts across a 42-hour week, with opportunities for overtime, coaching, and a benefits package including discounts and healthcare support.

Qualifications

  • Experience in caregiving or support work is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Empathetic approach with residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
  • Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
