Job summary

R&A Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Days Only Shift Engineer to join their on-site team at a corporate facility in Canary Wharf.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services, fault-find, and ensure safe, compliant operations on a days-only shift with a competitive pension scheme.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ in electrical or mechanical discipline.
• Experience in commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of maintenance procedures and building services.
• Proactive and professional approach to maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.
• Fault-find and repair systems including lighting, power, HVAC, pumps and motors.
• Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests promptly.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep systems safe and compliant.
• Support minor works and general engineering tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Hours: Continental Days-Only Shift Pattern

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical building services.

• Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests, ensuring faults are diagnosed and resolved efficiently.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
• Support minor works, repairs, and general engineering tasks as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance requirements.

What you'll bring:

• City & Guilds / NVQ qualification in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
• Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical or mechanical systems.
• Good understanding of commercial building services and maintenance procedures.
