Job summary

Guardian Industries in Goole, East Yorkshire, is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join our 24/7 manufacturing site. This COMAH facility produces advanced energy-saving architectural glass and values safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Days Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and work with Operations, Engineering and Reliability teams to improve plant performance.

Qualifications

• Recognised craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement and defect reduction initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized working environment.
• Carry out breakdown rectification and preventive maintenance.
• Repair and troubleshoot manufacturing process equipment.
• Ensure machinery is safe to operate and install safety equipment.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Reliability teams to boost plant performance.
• Be flexible, able to work overtime and multi-skill as needed.
