Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is hiring a Support Worker for Willow House in Birmingham. You will work 42 hours per week, including a mix of day and night shifts and alternate weekends, delivering care to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, in a team environment, with a focus on safety, dignity, and empowerment of service users. Training is provided, and a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience in a support setting with learning disabilities and mental health.
• Excellent communicator and good team player.
• Caring and energetic with the ability to empower service users.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard all patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all.

Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Support Workerto join our team working at Cygnet Willow House.

You’ll be working42hours a week(days and nights from 07:45am/pm until 08:00pm/am, includingalternative weekends),making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care atCygnet Willow House.

Willow House is a specialist residential service with nursing for adults with learning disabilities complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
• Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities and mental health
• An excellent communicator and a good team player
• Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence
