Job summary

Freightliner Group Ltd in Southampton is looking for a Terminal Coordinator (Days) to join our busy depot team. You will manage customer queries, depot administration, cargo handling records and planning, and arrange container movements with shunt drivers.

Key tasks include input of shunt details into TOPS, coordinating with shipping lines and hauliers, and ensuring timely operations. The role offers a permanent, full-time contract, 45 hours per week, with a strong benefits package including

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping lines, port operations, haulage or container handling.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Customer service focus.
• Ideally knowledge of container ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle all customer queries including communications with shipping lines and hauliers.
• Complete administration for yard services, maintenance and cargo handling.
• Prepare reports for customers detailing cargo handling reports and photos.
• Input shunt details into TOPS.
• Schedule workloads and container moves for Cargo Handling, Shunt drivers and Maintenance and Repair.
• Plan and issue shunts to ensure all containers moved within relevant time frames.
• Control internal tug access within Gate Management System / VBS for Freightliner and external bodies.
