Job summary

Manpower UK seeks a Material Recycling Operative (Days) for a busy manufacturing site in Workington. This temporary role runs Monday to Friday, 8.00am–4.00pm, for approximately three months with a possible extension.

You will carry out rework and material recycling tasks, support production, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Reliability and the ability to follow instructions are essential, with prior experience in a similar setting advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out rework activities on production materials.
• Sort, handle and prepare materials for recycling or reprocessing.
• Support recycling and general production operations.
• Move and handle materials around the work area.
• Pack, wrap and palletise where required.
• Check materials meet quality standards.
• Record production information accurately.
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and safe.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Support the wider production team as required.
