Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an E&I Technician for a permanent role in Newport. The position involves supporting site maintenance, diagnosing faults in electrical/instrumentation systems, and ensuring continuous plant uptime.

You will work on 415V AC motors, safety and control systems, and calibration of instrumentation. The role requires a time-served qualification and relevant on-site experience, with a comprehensive benefits package offered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Time-served qualification in electrical/instrument discipline.
• Experience fault finding on plant equipment.
• SAP experience beneficial.
• Beamex CMX software for calibrations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to plant breakdowns to diagnose and resolve faults of electrical or instrumentation nature.
• Install and maintain 415V AC motors and associated control equipment.
• Install, commission and maintain safety, control and measurement systems (level, pressure, temperature).
• Calibrate and maintain instrumentation and control systems per procedures.
• Maintain hazardous area equipment in line with DSEAR regulations.
• General electrical installation work including lighting and cable management.
