Job summary

Amber Gateway is seeking a Day Services Support Worker in Scunthorpe to join our modern day services facility. The role offers a permanent, full-time contract with a starting hourly rate of £12.80 to £12.95, plus a joining bonus after probation. You will support adults with learning disabilities and autism in a person-centred environment.

We provide comprehensive induction and ongoing training. Excellent benefits include a company pension, uniform, and on-site facilities to support staff

Hours of work: We can offer you excellent working hours to suit your personal life.

A typical week will be Monday to Friday (no weekend work) general hours 0830 - 1630 but would be happy to discuss alternatives.

Pay: Starting rate of pay of £12.80 - £12.95.

PLUS a £250 joining bonus paid to you which is paid to you when you pass your probationary period.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting young adults and adults with Learning Disabilities, Complex Needs and Behaviours of Concern within a Modern Day Support Services Facility environment.
  • Providing high standards of care and support for service users, in line with care and support plans, compliance with CQC regulations and the care & support policies and procedures
  • Identifying needs and preferences for each individual and providing personal care
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
  • Be a kind, empathetic and people person who works well in a team.
  • Being a really fun person who is reliable and a team player
Please Note:

Care experience is not essential as we offer a full induction and regular training to equip you with the skills and confidence to carry out your role, as well as regular training and support throughout your career with us.
