Job Description

We have an excellent career opportunity for a Support Worker (Responder) to join our team at Amber Gateway, based at our modern day services facility in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire (DN17 postcode).

About the Role

Your normal place of work will be Amber Gateway; however, as a Responder, you will also be required to work within the community when business needs require it. This role involves lone working, supporting individuals flexibly across different environments.


You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living in their own homes and within the community. This includes delivering tailored support for people with a range of disabilities and support needs, promoting independence, dignity, inclusion and meaningful daily living.


Hours of Work


  • 40 hours per week

  • Standard shifts are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday

  • Typical hours are 08:30 – 16:30

  • Some flexibility is required, as responder duties may occasionally require changes to standard shift times

  • Rate of pay: £12.95 per hour

  • £250 joining bonus, paid after successful completion of your probationary period
