Job summary

Independence Matters in Norfolk is seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Service Manager at our Dereham and Attleborough Day Services. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance and high care standards, and deliver person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and older people.

You will lead recruitment, performance development, and quality improvements, while coordinating resources and maintaining strong links with families, healthcare professionals,

Qualifications

• Experience as Deputy Manager or in a similar supervisory role in health and social care.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willing to work towards).

Responsibilities

• Support the Service Manager in day-to-day running of the services.
• Deliver person-centred support and maintain high standards of care.
• Lead recruitment, management, and development of the care team.
• Contribute to audits, quality monitoring and service improvements.
• Support resource planning and occupancy targets.
• Build relationships with customers, families, health professionals, and local authorities.
• Travel across Norfolk and participate in on-call rota as required.
