Job summary

Crerar Hotels invites applications for a Day Porter & Concierge across our Scottish hotels and Lake District locations. This full-time position involves porterage, guest services, and supporting reception, housekeeping and F&B teams to deliver exceptional hospitality.

You may act as duty manager, oversee function-room setups, assist with guest requests, and cover night management when needed. Present yourself professionally and take pride in high standards of service.

As a Day Porter & Concierge at Crerar Hotels, you will support our reception, housekeeping and food and beverage teams with porterage, guest services and some food & beverage service as required. You must take pride in your work, presenting yourself well and delivering exceptional customer service. This full-time role, which includes weekend shifts, covers a range of duties, including overseeing security, setting up function rooms for events, storing furniture and equipment, and following end-of-day procedures. You will also assist with guests' food and beverage needs, support reception with porterage and guest services, and assist housekeeping with guest requests. With your attention to detail, you’ll ensure high standards are maintained. Personable and engaging, you will interact with guests to exceed their expectations and may be asked to assist the cleaning, bar, and reception teams or act as duty manager when required. There will also be a requirement for sickness and holiday cover for our night management team.
