Job summary

Rutland County Council invites applications for a Day Opportunities worker based at Oakham Enterprise Park. The role includes some evening, weekend and bank holiday work to meet the needs of those supported, with tasks involving moving and handling and personal care.

The successful candidate will receive thorough induction, personalised training, and support to complete QCF Diploma and Level 2 Health & Social Care qualifications. DBS checks are required and costs covered by the council.

Qualifications

• Natural caring approach and patience.
• Experience in care is helpful but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Full driving licence is required to travel to different locations.

Responsibilities

• Work in Day Opportunities service at Oakham Enterprise Park.
• Some evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts.
• Move and handle and provide personal care as required.
• Build trusting relationships to support independence and wellbeing.
