Job summary

Rutland County Council invites applications for a Day Opportunities worker based at Oakham Enterprise Park. The role includes some evening, weekend and bank holiday work to meet the needs of those supported, with tasks involving moving and handling and personal care.

The successful candidate will receive thorough induction, personalised training, and support to complete QCF Diploma and Level 2 Health & Social Care qualifications. DBS checks are required and costs covered by the council.

We offer personalised care and support packages for adults and young people with learning disabilities or autism in and around Rutland. We provide tailored activities at our Oakham Enterprise Park hub and utilise resources in the local community.

About The Role

As part of our Community Support Services, you will work in our Day Opportunities service based at Oakham Enterprise Park.

The role includes some evening, weekend, and bank holiday work to ensure we meet the needs of those we support.

Because of the nature of the job, some physical tasks such as moving and handling and providing personal care are required.

Pay Rates

• Basic pay of £12.85 - £13.05 per hour
• Saturdays at £19.28 - £19.59 per hour
• Sundays and bank holidays at £25.70 - £26.11 per hour

Previous experience is helpful but not essential. We offer a thorough induction, personalised training, and full funding to complete the QCF Diploma and Level 2 Health and Social Care qualifications.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Costs for the DBS are covered by Rutland County Council.

Please note: successful applicants will also need a full driving licence to travel to different locations and use service vehicles.
