Job summary

Rutland County Council’s Brightways Day Opportunities service at Oakham Enterprise Park seeks caring, patient staff to support adults with learning disabilities or autism. The role includes some evenings, weekends and bank holidays to meet service users’ needs, with a thorough induction and personal development opportunities.

Working Hours: 30 hrs

We're searching for people who genuinely want to make a positive impact. Brightways is our day opportunities service and part of our Community Support Services. We offer personalised care and support packages for adults and young people with learning disabilities or autism in and around Rutland. We provide tailored activities at our Oakham Enterprise Park hub and utilise resources in the local community.

About the Role

As part of our Community Support Services, you will work in our Day Opportunities service based at Oakham Enterprise Park.

The role includes some evening, weekend, and bank holiday work to ensure we meet the needs of those we support.

Because of the nature of the job, some physical tasks such as moving and handling and providing personal care are required.

Pay rates:

  • Basic pay of £12.85 - £13.05 per hour
  • Saturdays at £19.28 - £19.59 per hour
  • Sundays and bank holidays at £25.70 - £26.11 per hour

Previous experience is helpful but not essential. We offer a thorough induction, personalised training, and full funding to complete the QCF Diploma and Level 2 Health and Social Care qualifications.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Costs for the DBS are covered by Rutland County Council.

Please note: successful applicants will also need a full driving licence to travel to different locations and use service vehicles.
