Job summary

RedRock Resourcing is seeking a Junior Data Centre Facilities Engineer to join a growing team at Heathrow/Slough. The role requires handling critical infrastructure, electrical systems, and HVAC, with on-call and travel across sites as needed.

The candidate should be eligible for Security Clearance and hold a full UK driving license. Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting, safety compliance, and coordinating with contractors to ensure 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical systems (switchgear, generators) and HVAC.
• Ability to troubleshoot systems under pressure.
• Ability to work with IT, contractors, and vendors.
• Willingness to work on-call, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure maintenance: monitor and maintain power (UPS, generators), cooling, and fire detection/suppression systems.
• Troubleshooting and repair: diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Preventative maintenance: daily/weekly/monthly inspections using PPM schedules; on-site with contractors.
• Safety and compliance: adhere to safety regulations, site policies.
• Monitoring and reporting: use BMS to monitor systems and respond to changes.
• Project coordination: assist clients with data floor setup for safe equipment rackings.
• Traveling: support other sites as required during staff shortages or projects.
