RedRock Resourcing is looking for a (Junior) Datacentre Facilities Engineer to work in Heathrow/Slough. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical systems.

• Assist clients onto the data floor following best practices.

(Junior) Datacentre Facilities Engineer (HVAC) - Heathrow/Slough - New

Up to £32k + Benefits

Location: Heathrow (with some travel to other sites as required)

Please note, to be considered for this role you must be eligible for SC Clearance and hold a full, UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Working Knowledge of critical infrastructure, including electrical systems (switchgear, generators) and HVAC systems.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot systems under pressure.
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work with IT, contractors, and vendors. Keeping a cool head when others don’t.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work on-call, weekends, or holidays to ensure 24/7 operations are met.

As mentioned above, suitable candidates will have a working knowledge of LV Electrical systems, HVAC and Security Systems.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain power (UPS, generators), cooling, and fire detection/suppression systems.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Actively diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily, weekly, or monthly inspections of infrastructure using PPM Schedules. Work on site with external contractors and supervise contractors for repairs.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and site-specific policies.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Use building management systems (BMS) to monitor, systems and react to changes.
• Project Coordination: Assist with clients onto the data floor to ensure best practice is followed in the safe racking of equipment.
• Traveling: As required to other sites to assist during times of staff shortage or specific projects requiring additional personnel.
