Job summary

Hull College seeks a Systems and Data Analyst to optimise databases, integrate systems and support BI tool development across the College. You will enhance information access, streamline processes and enable informed decision-making for staff and students.

You will work with teams to understand data needs, develop effective solutions, and provide technical support to improve efficiency, performance and the overall student experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience with Power BI and creating dashboards.
• Understanding of education data requirements.
• Experience of data analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to collate, analyse, interpret and report on data.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
• Advanced SQL skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the production of information management services for the college.
• Create and maintain complex SQL solutions.
• Lead on maintenance and development of college software and systems (ProSolution, ProMonitor, PowerBI, etc.).
• Ensure systems are integrated and utilised to their full potential.
• Create and maintain databases with appropriate access and security.
• Investigate and resolve user-reported problems.
• Manage system-generated college information reports and keep them up-to-date.
• Evaluate new technologies and products for potential impact.
