Role Overview

The Data Strategist is a key contributor to the Unified Platform Data Management team, focusing on growing our research data platform. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in linking data solutions to business needs, possess strong domain knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across DRW's global footprint.

What You'll Do

1. Develop data requirements and provide recommendations to front office traders and researchers, collaborating with data analysts and engineers.
2. Evaluate and integrate new datasets, managing the data onboarding lifecycle.
3. Work with data engineers and the Contract Management team to track and communicate progress and priorities.
4. Build relationships with front office users to promote data platform offerings and growth.
5. Use data analysis skills to ensure new datasets provide maximum business value, meeting requirements for completeness, accessibility, and interoperability.
6. Develop and publish dataset profiles for discoverability within the platform.
7. Ensure stakeholders have appropriate access to datasets to support trading strategies.
8. Collaborate on improving access management processes and tools.
9. Engage with external vendors to stay informed of new offerings and trends.

What You'll Need

1. Knowledge of modern financial markets, instruments, research datasets, and platforms.
2. 5+ years of experience working with front office stakeholders, including traders and researchers.
3. Proficiency in SQL and Python, especially libraries like pandas.
4. Experience with cloud-based tools such as AWS S3 or Snowflake.
5. Strong organizational and relationship management skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
